Purpose:

Main Changes (clear and direct):

7️⃣ The language of the Act is simpler, Indianized, and clearer.
8️⃣ Colonial (British-era) terms have been removed.
9️⃣ Equal importance is now given to oral, documentary, and electronic evidence.
10️⃣ The definition of “evidence” is expanded — digital footprints are also included.
